Indoor Soccer – Game 3

The kids had practice from 4:30 – 5:30 then a game from 6 – 7. Paige did great until about ten minutes into the game…her stomach hurt and she was spiking a fever. Grandma and Grandpa A and Austin came to watch the game, so I felt bad that she didn’t end up playing very long. We ended up heading out for dinner after the game. Before she got sick she was being pretty hilarious. The two boys by her in line were telling her she cut (she didn’t), so they were poking and tickling each other. Then Paige went from being hilarious to being unruly. “I will control you with my jedi mind tricks” “Your jedi mind tricks don’t work on me!” “So, show me how these mind tricks work.” Then she got sick

The one with the zoo animals

More from the Zoo… Mom   and baby   This guy had his trunk in the water – secretly I hoped he’d squirt water on all the people watching him. I could have easily hidden behind one of them – I’m sneaky like that. I think this is two Moms and two babies, but it might be a Mom, a Dad, and two babies Mom #1 (or Dad) with baby #1 Mom #2 with baby #2 Mom #2 with babies #1 and #2 Lazy jag. Someone sneezed and he woke up, lifted his head to check things out, and went right back to sleep.   Little Lion Man          The prairie dogs crack me up. Did you know they bark? They sound like little semi-muted puppies. It’s adorable. This little guy was barking at a bird who was playing in their lunch. These two were batting at each other.   Not many of the butterflies landed and they were too fast for me to snap in flight. penguins… Kookaburra Some boys were chasing this peacock and he got freaked and hid. The Zoo

The girls and J have been looking forward to today all week. The weather was amazing and they planned on going to the Zoo. I had to work. I made it to work and was pretty bummed about being left out of the zoo fun. I wrapped some things up and decided to take a mid-day vacation and head out there with them. before heading back to work for a few more hours. My manager is awesome, and wasn't phased by the last-minute request. It’s been a tough week and I really needed the break. Paige was excited to get to use her camera. (and Cady didn’t want to be left out, so she gave Paige a hug). Cadence was tired before we got there, but was all smiles. JP never, ever, let’s me take shots of him. I’m sneaky.  Don’t mind the scruffiness, shaving is not a requirement when one is on vacation. Cadence was asleep by the time we got back to the truck. Paige was pretty beat too, but let me get one quick shot. Look how tired she is. I was pretty stoked – I got to use my new E5!...
