Cady's First Year of Indoor Soccer

It's no secret that Cadence is a bit petite compared to her first grade peers. She's even more petite compared to her second grade peers in her soccer league. That doesn't intimidate her one bit though. She's really aggressive and I really can't be more proud of her. She's been waiting to play indoor soccer for three years. She's finally old enough :) Making a wall (or maybe playing Red Rover) Can't catch me! It kind of looks like she's trying to punch the goalie in the head. I assure you, she's not. (I don't think). She looks like she's pushing Purple Player #2 - she's just trying to peek around her to see where the ball is. Ready to go again. And again "Eep! Don't crash into me!" Making another wall. "Everyone stand behind me - I got this!" Smooshed. Get him! (I mean, the ball). Happy Dance Rehydrating

Another Round of Indoor Soccer

Paige seems to like indoor soccer better than outdoor. It's more fast-paced, and harder to get distracted by other things. I've found that I don't bring my camera with me as much anymore. Between my purse and a diaper bag in one arm, and a baby in the other, it's not really practical. I did make an effort at this game though. It makes it a lot easier when my parents, my sister, and JP are at the game to hold Brinley while I shoot. I only had it out for the first half before B insisted on hanging out with her Mom, so I didn't get many action shots. Paige is a lot less aggressive than Cady is (as you'll see in tomorrow's post). P's there more for the chance to be social than to actually compete. I love watching her play (and trying to figure out what she's thinking). Bored already? She's still scared of the ball. The FOAM ball. The foam ball that's nowhere NEAR her head. :) Paige has one more year of indoor (throug...

Muffin and Chumley

I haven't snagged any new pictures of the foster pups lately, but I wanted to provide an update. Chumley went to his new home this week. His new name is Winston and he has a new Schnauzer sister named Nina. His Mom (Kassie) and Dad are completely in love with him already and he's settling in nicely. Kassie is blogging about his progress and I get to read about him daily. Muffin will go home next Thursday. She'll be going to a pretty terrific home on the East coast. Once socialized and trained to an appropriate level, she'll be able to go to work with her new Mom (at a doctor's office) to greet patients. I'm really excited for her!
