Earlier this month Erin Condren had a ‘Buy More Save More' event. I was on the fence about ordering because I’m told they have some neat things coming out for the holidays. Should I order now, then AGAIN next month if they have something I need? Should I want and just place one order next month? What's a girl to do?
Because I really liked the things that I was sent earlier this month with the FOCUSED release, I decided that I’m not patient enough to wait to order – especially with the longer processing times so many companies are experiencing right now.
In a Town Hall meeting last month, Tonia Misvaer (the Erin Condren CEO) mentioned that their goal was to have their shipping times improved by mid to late October….and it seems like they did. I ordered on October 11th - it shipped on the 15th - and was at my house on the 18th (a Sunday!).
The first things I grabbed were two planner charms that have
been on my wish list for quite a while. They’re definitely not something I
needed, but because of the sale I picked them up. I grabbed the K & the P (my initials).
Next I grabbed an interchangeable cover in Cozy Plaid. Usually I customize the colors on any of the covers that have that option – and
this one does, but I really loved it the way it was. I chose the 7x9 cover & I’ll be
using it with one of my smaller EC notebook this fall and winter. It's also
available in 8.5 x 11 to fit the deluxe monthly planners or the larger sized EC notebooks. Usually I don’t add personalization because sometimes my
sister Monica & I trade covers. I blame her for my Erin Condren
obsession by the way. Anyway, she already has a ton of fall and winter covers
that she loves so I didn’t think she’d ask to use this one – so I went ahead and
personalized it with my initials (for free).
And again, you can customize the colors on this cover (also for free).
I think the ‘Sisters’ cover is my favorite cover I've seen from Erin Condren. It's part of the first Black Artists collaboration. There are 5 designs that are part of this collaboration, and there will be a second collaboration with additional artists coming right around the corner. If you haven’t taken a look at the art that’s part of the collab – I highly recommend it. 100% of the profit from products featuring designs from the Black artists collaboration is split 50/50 between the artists and the social justice charities of their choice. This cover is available in 7 x 9 and 8.5 x 11 and can be personalized with 15 characters on the first line and 15 on the second. I personalized it with my first name because, while my sister would love this cover, I’m not sharing it. I actually ordered the 7 x 9 notebook with this cover (instead of just the cover). The notebooks with this collab are only available in 7 x 9 with lined pages (not the 8.5 x 11 like the cover itself).
Next is a new item from the FOCUSED collection. This is the FOCUSED gold gel pen. It comes in a pretty cool triangular box that’s a really pretty turquoise color with gold mid century circles. The pen itself is smaller than I assumed it would be - about 5” long, and has some weight to it. The lid screws off and can screw on to the bottom. It looks like it has the same grip as the new mechanical pencils. Erin Condren sells refills for this, but I’m not sure if it’s a size you could pick up at Office Depot or Staples too.
So...the last thing I need is a new planner. But - I bought another planner. I feel like I combined my excitement for the vegan leather covers from the FOCUSED collection, with my excitement to use the hourly Life Planner, and the excitement about the new colors of the leather and this is the result. This is a 15 month neutral layers hourly Life Planner with a Blush vegan leather cover. I didn’t want to wait until January to switch my work planner over to the hourly spread. Right now I’m using the Erin Condren Daily Binder for work, and this is the last week worth of pages I have in it because I used the November & December sheets at the tail end of last year (using date dots to correct the dates). Anyway, so I needed another solution one way or another by next week.
Since it's a 15 month planner, it's a bit thicker than the 12 month Life Planner, and quite bit thicker than the 12 month FOCUSED Planner.
And that’s it! Let me know if you have any questions or want to take a closer look at anything.
