As an adult, I still love the fairy tales. Teri Wilson’s “Once Upon A Royal Summer” has everything I’m accustomed to seeing from Hallmark (focus on friendship & family, light romance, and characters that make me smile). Lacey has a job as a theme park princess, a job that is very meaningful to her, but her ex-boyfriend never thought it was a respectable career choice. Henry, a single father and the prince of Bella-Moritz, is trying to fulfill his young daughter’s birthday wish: to be a normal girl with a normal life. While the storyline was predictable, I found myself ridiculously excited to get through the book and really want to read what happens next!
