I got to preview the Erin Condren 2021 Holiday Collection and there are some pretty neat new things that I definitely need in my life. The collection launches November 4th! Some of the items shown are new, and some are just gift recommendations I think are perfect for just about anyone.
Pocket Planner: The white foil pinstripe pocket planner was new with the 2022 Focused collection launch. This small but mighty planner retails for $18, and is a 12 month planner starting in January 2022. They're about 3.25 x 4.75 and are great for things like gratitude, word of the day, journaling, work schedule, class schedule, sorority meetings or events, or health/symptom tracker. I'll be using the pocket planner to track Brinley's migraines in 2022. It is available in metallic pinstripe, camel, mid-century circles, flora blush, & flora magnolia.
Colorful Fine Tip Markers: These aren't new, but are a great compliment to planners and notebooks. I use them for color coding the kids' events on our wall calendar, organizing team events at work, and Paige uses them for note taking. Her notes are really pretty. I wish my notes looked like that in high school! I actually wish I took notes in high school TBH. This set retails for $29.50. Erin Condren has variety of market styles and types. The fine tip markers have a .4mm tip and has 24 colors included. The fine tips are also available in 3 separate packs of 7. If you buy the 3 sets of 7 you'll have a few color duplicates among those 21 markers. As math would imply, the 24 pack has a few extra colors not included with the 3 sets of 7. :) There are also dual tip markers. The dual tips are my favorite for note taking and work. The thicker tip is 1.2 mm and the thinner tip is .6mm. These come in a whole host of colors. I have them all and love them all. Lastly there are the ultra fine tip markers. These are my favorite for planning. Sadly they only come in 12 colors at the moment. Dear friends at Erin Condren, please add more colors to the ultra fine tip marker collection. One more thing about markers, it's worth noting that the fine tip marker set of 24 comes in a sturdy plastic case that's good for transport. This is great for those of you fighting the good fight outside of your home.
A5 Year over year Journal: This new A5 journal is a really need idea. It's a great way to document things in your life (what you did, how you felt, dreams, goals, mean thoughts lol - anything! Then the next year you circle back to page one and do it all over again. I LOVE the idea of comparing things year over year. This coiled journal retails for $20. I like the idea of using an 8.5x11 coiled notebook and doing a DIY Year-over-year for 5 years! Who's with me?
Personalized Stationery: Right now my stationary is resting peacefully in a file folder. It's not pretty and it's not sturdy. I like this option much much better. This stationary set has over 100 designs to choose from, comes with 13 envelope colors, 20 flat or folded notecards & envelopes, 20 gold seals, & a very pretty and very sturdy storage box! It retails for $24. The notecard dimensions are 4.75" x 3.5" (folded) and 6.25" x 4.625" (flat). The box dimensions are 5.5" x 8.25" x 1"
Packing Cube Set of 3: I have mixed feelings about these. I really like the idea of them - in that if you travel, it's a quick and easy way to separate some of the things you'd like to keep separate :). What worries me is that the material is relatively thin nylon and I'm not sure you'd want to put anything that has weight to it in there. It would be great for undergarments, socks, or anything delicate. The set retails for $24. If you grabbed the Spring (I think it was spring - might have been summer or even winter?) seasonal surprise box you have a turquoise bag similar to these. These range in size from about 12x5.5x8, 13.5x10.5xflat, & 16x12x5.5
Acrylic Perpetual Calendar Desk Organizer: I do love a good acrylic desk accessory! The perpetual calendar can be used year after year - which in my mind adds value. It retails for $30 and is about 9.5x2.75x4. You can prop your phone on it, use it as a calendar, and store other things in the storage area behind the calendar face.
Acrylic Organizer Book ends: More acrylic! These are hard to photograph. Right now I'm using them to keep my planner stack together and to hold some of my planner pend/markers. There are 4 envelope type compartments (like you'd use for mail sorting) and 3 cup type compartments for pens, pencils, and other desk accessories. I'm digging them so far. I'm not sure if it's something I'd buy for myself at this price point though - it retails for $42. Maybe during the black Friday sale?!
Stand up sticky note folio: I wanted to like these but I'm just not there yet. I like the idea of the standup sticky note, but the cover is a bit bulky and won't stay closed if I want to cover/protect the sticky notes, and the sticky notes themselves aren't super sticky. This is great if you want to be able to move the sticky note around after using it, but for me, I don't reposition notes so it's frustrating. Also, I really had to work with the cover to fold right, and stay folded to prop the notes up. The cover of the standup folio works amazingly well, but with the small size of the sticky note package I think the craftmanship fell short. These retail for $12.50. The holder is about 8.25x2.75x.5, the sticky notes are 2.675x2 (30 sheets per pad).
Eco-friendly Office essentials Set: I love this set. I love the idea of eco friendly, AND this set is cute! It retails for $18.50 and comes with a 6” wooden ruler, 2 Cardboard ballpoint pens with black ink, paper clips, mini binder clips, a graph note pad with pen holder, and to-do washi. It's quite the set.
Ultimate Planny Pack: Planny packs are adorable - period. The ultimate planny pack kicks it up a notch and is a bit more functional. It retails for $20 and is about 5.25x8. The pocket has moved from the back of the pack to the front for easier accessibility, and the zipper now curves over the top/side so you can grab things easier. There have also been two new interior pockets added.
Teacher Gift Set: There are a FEW new gift sets this season! The teacher gift set retails for $25 and comes pre-packed in a sturdy, good looking, and inspiring gift box. It includes a Teacher productivity notepad, a Sticky note roll, Rose gold ball point pen, and 2 dual tip highlighters. The other gifting sets have different price points. There's a Plant lover gift set, kitchen gift set, wellness gift set, & travel gift set.
I hope you enjoyed the preview and found some cute things you liked!
