I've always wanted to experience the Kentucky Derby, but without the chaos and crowds of the in-person event. This year I've put together a list of things I'll be using to host a small party at home.
From attire and games, to recipes, I've got you covered. Please note that some of these are affiliate links and I may earn a small commission if a purchase is made by using these links. That said, I don't recommend products or brands that I don't stand behind.
I found this Virgin Mint Julep recipe from Sweets & Thank You that tastes quite a bit like the version you'd find at Disney.
I also really like the Blackberry Mint Julep recipe from Food & Wine. It's a fun spin with added flavor.
Then there's the Classic Mint Julep from Vineyard Vines.
For snacks, I like the Benedictine Spread recipe from Taste of Home, and since finger foods will be better for an at home setting, I like the Mini Hot Browns recipe from the Kentucky Derby website.
There's so much to get excited about on Derby Day - I hope you enjoy every minute of it!
